We had a somewhat chilly night at Zion, but everyone seemed to sleep well.

We headed out on time at 8:00 and traveled east and south to Cameron, Arizona, with a few stops that included Glen Canyon Dam just outside Page.

We ate lunch in a parking lot in Cameron, then headed west to Grand Canyon National Park. We stopped at the Watchtower overlook first.

Then we headed to Grand Canyon Village where we went to the visitor’s center and Mather Overlook (while I found a place to park—it’s crazy busy here), the main overlook by the hotels, and the general store.

Then we headed to the Red Feather Lodge in Tusayan, just outside the park. we have been getting our gear together and then, I hope, getting a good night’s sleep. Hoping to start packing up at 6:00 so we get on the Hermit Trail at a decent time. Sorry, no updates while we are in the backcountry.
